It’s possible that your cycle length may vary slightly. There are a variety of reasons for this, such as hormonal imbalance, illness, medications, over-exercising, changes in nutrition, stress, sudden weight changes, and even traveling. Any variation in the menstrual cycle length of up to a week is normal.
If you started having periods less than 2 years ago, period delays are also totally normal — even the big ones. Your body needs time to get used to hormonal fluctuations.
If you’ve had unprotected sex and suspect you may be pregnant, it’s recommended to take a home pregnancy test. You can take a home urine test from 14 days after the possible conception date, but waiting until a period is late will give a more reliable result. If the test is negative but you don’t feel well or are feeling worried, we recommend visiting a doctor to have necessary tests done.
