Stories are a type of personalized content in Flo. You can find them on the stories carousel on the main screen under the circle. All your stories are synced with your goal in the app, your cycle phase, and Flo’s predictions for your cycle. A story may contain facts, stats, tips, videos, recipes, links, and other information that’s relevant to your current cycle day or a symptom or event that you log.
- New or partially seen stories have a pink border and are first in the carousel.
- Viewed stories are shown with a grey border and are moved to the end of the line.
Stories are available all day, and the carousel updates each day according to changes in your cycle and account. If you would like to have access to a story for a longer period of time, you can save it by tapping the bookmark icon. Your saved content can be found under the Saved tab in the Insights section of the app. Some stories can also be found in the content library under the appropriate topic.
Flo has different types of stories:
- Daily stories
These reflect personalized information about your menstrual cycle, logged or cycle-related symptoms, lifestyle, and what we like to call your superpowers. Superpower stories give you information about the positive effects your cycle can have and offer practical advice to maximize these effects.
- Weekly stories
Weekly stories are for people tracking their pregnancy in Flo. They share information about the baby’s development and the changes in your body during pregnancy.
- Meal plan stories
Flo provides meal plans on a daily basis in our stories. We offer vegetarian meal plans every third day. All meal plans are also stored in Insights.
- Fitness stories
You can find different energy-boosting and mood-lifting workouts, routines for the end of your period or when you want to relax, pain- and cramp-relieving exercises, workouts for high hormones and for post-ovulation, and HIIT and cardio exercise. All of our stories with workouts are reviewed by specialists.
- Mental Self-Care Stories
Our mental self-care stories are reviewed by specialists.
- Bedtime stories
These are relaxing stories that can help you wind down before bed.
- Stories with links to Secret Chats
These stories can direct you to the Secret Chats thread we think you’ll enjoy or find helpful.
The type of stories depends on your goal in the app. So if you don’t receive all of these types of stories, that just means they might not be available for your current goal.
